"There are too many books I haven't read, too many places I haven't seen, too many memories I haven't kept long enough."

LOVING ELLIE - Lindsey Brookes 2.5 stars

A sweet romance without any steamy sex scenes. The delivery was kind of awkward.

Renegade Lady

Renegade Lady - Dawn Martens, Emily Minton 3,5 stars

Alpha - Jasinda Wilder When I first read the blurb, I found it promizing so I preordered Alpha but then when I actually had the book I was a little disappointed. I expected to love it but I didn't, unfortunately. There were things who bothered me during the sex scenes, some of the foreplay seemed to drag a bit and I couldn't bring myself to be ok with how the heroine reacted when Roth told her what the "big" secret was. I wouldn't have reacted the same way, that's for sure!

I felt the chemistry between the characters at the very beginning so I thought it would be good, but I didn't feel much after that. It was a little too much and unrealistic. The characters frustrated me sometimes, and I only wanted to skip some passages. I couldn't bring myself to understand these characters but I liked the happy ending even if it was a little rushed maybe. Overall, there were things I enjoyed but others that kept me from liking this book.

I am sad to feel the way I do, but I know I'm not the only one. I also know there will be plenty of readers who'll love Alpha and rate it 5 stars, I'm sure. If you're going to read this book, go for it but you should just be aware that you might not love it as much as you think you will.

Now, moving on to the next book hoping I'll roll my eyes less often :/. (almost DNF)

A Demon Made Me Do It (Demonblood #1)

A Demon Made Me Do It (Demonblood #1) - Penelope King I'm not even sure how to rate this... 2 stars? 3 ? Well, let's just say 2.5.

I liked the idea and the beginning of the book, then it didn't hold my attention like when I first started. I think it's the confusion and the whole 'two different girls in one body not knowing for which guy she's into' thing that kept me from rating this book at a higher level.

Right now, I don't know who I want the heroine to be with (Bones? Or Kieran?), but then which heroine (Lucky? Liora? Maybe both?) because yes they're only one person but two at the same time because their soul has been divided so now, Lucky the Demion lives at night and Liora the human lives during the day.

The story was interesting but the romance was a little messed up...just like this review, I know. I honestly loved Bones, he was awesome but I hated when he went "hunting" for virgins every night. I liked Kieran but not as much as Bones.

It was an ok read for me, but I don't think I'll read the next book it will be nice to know what happens next, though.

Slow Body Rock

Slow Body Rock - Nora Flite Why are these books so short? I love them. :)

Blindfolded Innocence

Blindfolded Innocence - Alessandra Torre At first and during most of the book actually, I couldn't bring myself to like Brad De Lucas and his womanizing ways. The guy just slept with anyone with legs since his divorce five years ago and even before that. He's a jerk and did I mentioned that he was a cheater and have no problem sleeping with a married woman? 'BDL' is the kind of man who has too much sex appeal and testosterone for his own good.

I wanted Julia to stay away and not be obsessed with him from the beginning. Thankfully, it wasn't overly done or too much. I loved the last scene, it was hot and made me curious about what will happen in the next book. I hope Alexis won't be there too much because I probably won't stand her and that I'll get more attached to Brad.

Beyond - Maureen A. Miller 2.5 stars?

Chasing Beautiful (Chasing Series)

Chasing Beautiful (Chasing Series) - Pamela Ann Lots of drama and sexual tension. It wasn't perfect, but I was curious and entertained by these characters. The heroine was sometimes annoying, and let's not talk about the end. I mean, seriously? What was that... Anyway, I really enjoyed it overall. Hope the second book will be better but when I see that Blake go back to his playboy lifestyle...Well maybe I won't like it so much after all. I'll probably take the chance though when I found the time... which is not tonight, unfortunately.

Love's Paradox

Love's Paradox - Laura Kreitzer ***ARC received through Netgalley***

This is Rae's story after she left her abusive Relationship with her ex fiance, she wants to be free and makes him pay a little too. Then Parker comes by and change things for her. Anyway, I liked reading Love's Paradox but the writing felt a little off to me sometimes. I didn't enjoy much the beginning when she's doing a karaoke. The heroine could be a little stupid and irritating, really I mean she was always provoking her violent ex-fiance and meeting him again (and alone)... because that's such a good idea if you ask me. I loved Hunter, he was nice and refreshing in the story. Overall it was a nice romance with drama. Not everyone will like it, though.

Nothing Left to Lose

Nothing Left to Lose - Kirsty Moseley 4.5 stars

Hold - Zannie Adams Loved it!

Be Were (Southern Shifters)

Be Were (Southern Shifters) - Eliza Gayle I enjoyed a lot better the fourth book in the series "Bad Kitty" than this one, unfortunately this book wasn't for me. I didn't grow attached to the characters and they were almost annoying at times. A little ridiculous too when the romance was going too fast. I didn't feel the chemistry between the two main characters. There were changes of point of views unannounced, it was troubling and confusing at first. There wasn't any real plot behind all this.

Crossing the Lines

Crossing the Lines - M.Q. Barber Yes, I will definitely read the next instalment in this series especially if it's as good as Crossing the Lines. I am really excited to learn more about how things will turns out for them. I think I enjoyed this one even more than "Playing the Game".

Here, the author made me fall in love with these interesting characters who completes each other perfectly. I loved them individually but together they were wonderful. They may be an unusual couple but they're so sweet together I didn't even care. I don't use to read MMF because I enjoy better MFM, but I loved this one. The sex was hot and steamy but it wasn't just about sex and we had also glimpses of their backgrounds. I liked reading how Alice struggled with her feelings and wasn't sure about where she belonged. The author builded the romance beautifully.

Overall, a really good series to check out if you enjoy that kind of book.

Cupcakes and Ink

Cupcakes and Ink - Helena Hunting Cupcakes and Ink is a great prequel to the series. I am looking forward to read Clipped Wings. I'll probably start as soon as I can. I love how the author introduced us to these characters, who seems to be damaged in their own way. I want to know more about Tenley' story but Hayden's too. It's obvious they feel the same thing already and that they're both lonely. I'm also curious as to when she's going to have that tattoo. This is going to be good, I know it!

Cursed by Cupid

Cursed by Cupid - Wendy Sparrow 4.5 Stars

If you're looking for a really sweet and funny read with romance in it, then Cursed by Cupid is made for you. I wasn't bothered by the short lenght of this novella. And I didn't feel left off at the end though, so that's a good thing.

Tilly is so clumsy since she broke that chain letter three years ago, it becomes really funny to see what goes wrong when she tries to date someone. It doesn't matter who she's going out with, there's always something that makes her date running away from her, litteraly. And so here she is, without a second date.

Until she met Bryant "It's like Bryan with an extra 'T' thrown onto the end for the hell of it" , the sexy and so sweet owner of a shop. He has also a bedroom voice, making Tilly (and I) melt at the sound of it. The problem? Well, she just has thrown her chocolate drink on his door. Not the most romantic meeting, I know.

She finally warns him about her curse, and why he shouldn't keep seeing her. But he doesn't care because he thinks it's only luck that brought them together, and if that isn't sweet, I don't know what is!

This book made me laugh out loud a few times and put a smile on my face during most of it. I loved the story and the characters just like I'm sure you will too.

Perfect for Valentine's Day' spirit!

Chained - Ruthie Knox I was surprised how much I enjoyed reading the first part of this series. Really, even if it was only 40 pages, I was hooked and entertained. I found the characters created in Chained interesting and of course I wish there was more, but then I'm sure the next book will satisfy the more curious.

Ashley seems like to be a woman with a strong will when she know what she wants. She's grieving her grandmother but has to 'fight' against Roman, the buyer of the place she considered as hers. But then, her idea was to chained herself to a palm tree, alone without any food, water or proper clothes. Not the best idea in the world, especially since a storm is coming their way. They have to compromise if they want to evacuate.

In Chained, we have the context of the story but we only have a glimpse of the attraction between Ashley and Roman, unfortunately. But I'm sure it will be more developped in the next part.
