Books Addict

When I first read the blurb, I found it promizing so I preordered Alpha but then when I actually had the book I was a little disappointed. I expected to love it but I didn't, unfortunately. There were things who bothered me during the sex scenes, some of the foreplay seemed to drag a bit and I couldn't bring myself to be ok with how the heroine reacted when Roth told her what the "big" secret was. I wouldn't have reacted the same way, that's for sure!

I felt the chemistry between the characters at the very beginning so I thought it would be good, but I didn't feel much after that. It was a little too much and unrealistic. The characters frustrated me sometimes, and I only wanted to skip some passages. I couldn't bring myself to understand these characters but I liked the happy ending even if it was a little rushed maybe. Overall, there were things I enjoyed but others that kept me from liking this book.

I am sad to feel the way I do, but I know I'm not the only one. I also know there will be plenty of readers who'll love Alpha and rate it 5 stars, I'm sure. If you're going to read this book, go for it but you should just be aware that you might not love it as much as you think you will.

Now, moving on to the next book hoping I'll roll my eyes less often :/. (almost DNF)
